My bachelor’s degree is in Interior Architecture, also known as interior design. I am an electrical designer for an engineering firm based in downtown Milwaukee, and I can stamp drawings in the state of Wisconsin. I do designs for lighting, power and systems for buildings. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to work on some pretty amazing projects throughout the years.
I have been doing painting, photography, quilting, sewing and woodworking since middle / high school. I went to painting classes at a craft store with my dad and sister when I was in middle school. I’ve also gone to Paint Nite classes with my mom and sister. I learned woodworking in middle school with the help of my shop teacher and my dad. I’ve never taken a photography class, but I love taking photographs of landscapes and buildings. I plan on taking a photography class in the future through the city of West Allis recreation center. I started to quilt and sew as a senior in high school in an elective class. I’ve made more than 30 quilts since then. From baby play quilts to king size quilts, I’ve done a variety of patterns and styles. I love making quilts. My sister requested a special type of quilt many years ago. We call it a summer quilt. It doesn’t have any batting in the center, so it is comfortable in the summer. You can use it in the winter too, if you add a blanket underneath. I plan on making quilts and posting them before I finish them. That way the purchaser can choose if they want a summer quilt, a batting filled quilt that is tied by me, or they just want the top so they can have someone else finish it with quilting. Someday in the future I would love to get a quilting machine.
In 2023 I started creating AI artwork and fell in love. The key to being an AI artist is being open to the possibilities and not getting hung up on your expectations for the image. You don’t always get what you are expecting, but you can get some amazing images.
